Lights, Cameras, FASHION

ShoeKandi made their college debut this past week as UDress Magazine at the University of Delaware kicked off their 6th annual fall fashion event!

The anticipation leading up to November 19th was beginning to become unbearable for all involved. The room was transformed, gift bags had been stuffed, and everyone was ready to see the new issue and watch the show. The magazine release was amazing! The pages of pure college-fashion bliss display the hard work, and the sleepless nights for the 60 plus staff. Bags under the eyes are nothing compared to the smiles and happiness that the magazine brought.

The event consisted of a few local performing acts, a 90 model show with 90 looks from the local boutiques. The theme was “Escape to Reality,” which, in a room full of crazy lighting and mirrored runways, it was hard not to! Transformation is an understatement. The talented UDressers flaunted their best attire as they perused the cocktail tables, grabbing fruit and “mock-tinis” chatting about the newest issue.

Six years of experience is amazing! They pulled it off like the pros! Kristin Quail, the Event Director pulled things off in an orderly, detailed fashion.

One lucky winner walked away with a free pair of ShoeKandi shoes! Check out the magazine’s Facebook page below!

Heaven on Feet

Never in my wildest dreams have I thought that a HEEL would be more comfortable than my staple wedge. Well, to my surprise, the moment I slipped on my new “Althea” black booties…the impossible happened. The feeling was comparable to that of a pillow, cushioning the foot in the lightest, fluffiest way. Each step was accompanied by a sigh of relief. At last, a heel that I could wear all day long without taking mini breaks. The wedges went in the closet, and the Altheas went on my feet.
Standing 5 foot 3 inches short, I am always searching for the perfect day-long shoe to boost me up. My dreams of being a few inches taller always fall short when my feet begin to ache mid-day. Now my feet and my wallet are thanking me! At $28 dollars, who can beat that? I’ll take them in purple and gray, please and thank you. ShoeKandi has my heart.
